My love of bodybuilding began in my childhood growing up in Uganda Africa. I started my training by using 2 tire rims and a steel bar for bench presses. After much training I competed in my first competition in 1998. Determined to get bigger I kept training. In 1999 I traveled to Egypt to compete in the IFBB – AFBB / EFBB 3rd African Championship for Men where Team Uganda took 2nd place. I learned I not only loved to train but loved to compete as well. My love of bodybuilding and competing had begun.
I later moved to the Unites States and continued to train hard and put on size. When I came to the U.S. 10 years ago I was 180 lbs. Now my usual off-season weight is around 320 lbs. I have competed in many shows since coming to the U.S. and have placed first in my class in almost every show. I love to eat train and be in the gym. Bodybuilding is definitely a lifestyle and I love it.
A big thanks to my family and my friends for their belief in me and ALL of their support. While one person goes on stage to compete, I could not do it without their help and support.
Alex
